The new Kia Carens three-row MPV will make its global debut in India on December 16, 2021

Kia India has officially released the design sketches of the new Kia Carsenne, giving a preview of its upcoming three-row vehicle. Slated to make its global debut in India on December 16, 2021, the new vehicle is expected to be an MPV, and take on the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar. Now, the name itself is not new. Kia used to sell a compact MPV called the Karens in Korea between 1999 and 2018, however, globally it was known as the Kia Rondo. With this new generation model, Kia aims to revive the name again, and India will be the first market to get it.

The Kia Carense serves today’s customers. A true reflection on what they want from a three-row vehicle.”

Kia India is calling the new Carriance a new class of recreational vehicle, and the company says it is built on the design philosophy – ‘Opposites United’. In fact, Kia is targeting it towards modern Indian families, therefore, you will notice that the vehicle has a tall footprint, is tall and has a straight roof, all of which point towards a spacious cabin. as it is based on Seltos Platform, exteriors get an aggressive treatment with split lighting setup, signature LED DRLs, sleek LED headlamps and muscular bumper with large air intakes. The vehicle also gets sporty alloy wheels, bold character lines and roof rails. The rear section gets sharp-looking wraparound LED taillamps that look like an LED strip, sculpted tailgate and an aggressive rear bumper.

As for the cabin, the design sketch reveals a minimalist design for the dashboard with very few buttons and horizontal air-convents. We also get to see a three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, along with a wireless charging pad under the dashboard and a shifter lever for the automatic transmission. The cabin gets several glossy styling inserts along with chrome garnish on the doors and 10.25-inch Audio Video Navigation Telematics (AVNT) on the dashboard.
