UPSC: Telangana IPS officers guide 131 successful civil services candidates

A senior IPS officer posted in Telangana advised 131 candidates to crack the civil services exam. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat along with civil servants and academicians guided these candidates for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Exam 2020.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Bhagwat while congratulating the candidates advised them to provide citizen-friendly services in the administration and work with honesty, a sense of ownership.

As the interview was last postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the candidates were trained online by Bhagwat and others, the release said.

The results of the prestigious exam were released on Friday, in which 545 men and 216 women cleared the exam. Shubham Kumar of Bihar and Jagriti Awasthi of Madhya Pradesh have secured first and second position respectively in the civil services examination.

Ankita Jain secured 3rd rank, Riya Dabi, sister of 2015 Civil Services exam topper Tina Dabi, secured 15th rank in the exam.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in three phases – Preliminary, Main and Interview to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). Is. ), among others.

Congratulating the successful candidates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that they will play an important administrative role during a crucial period in India’s visit.

He also wished the aspirants who could not clear the UPSC exam and said that India is full of various opportunities waiting to be explored.

PM Modi tweeted, “Congratulations to all those who have successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination. An exciting and satisfying career in public service awaits you. Those who have cleared the exam will take on important administrative roles at a crucial stage in our nation’s journey. Will do it.” .
