USD 1 trillion economy target: UP government appointed Deloitte advisor

CM Yogi Adityanath said that by 2027, Uttar Pradesh will become the yardstick of the policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.

The Uttar Pradesh government has signed an MoU with Deloitte India, appointing it as an advisor to achieve the target of lifting the state’s economy to USD 1 trillion.

An official statement issued in Lucknow said that the MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Friday.

The Uttar Pradesh government has entrusted a big responsibility to Deloitte India for the prosperity of the state with the largest population of the country.

The state government had decided to appoint Deloitte India as an advisor during a meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Mr. Adityanath on July 19. The decision was based on the recommendation of a high powered committee.

Shri Adityanath said, “Now is the time of Uttar Pradesh, and by taking full advantage of its potential, the state will become the most important base for multidimensional development of the country.”

The Chief Minister said that by 2027, Uttar Pradesh will become a benchmark for the policy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” with a trillion dollar economy.

He said that within the next 90 days, Deloitte India may come up with a future course of action after conducting a region-wise study and deliberation.

The action plan will be examined by a high level committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. A group of ministers will also review it.
