USIBC congratulates Tata Group on Air India’s return home

The apex US corporate body also lauded the successful asset monetization program of the Indian government.

The US-India Business Council, an apex US corporate body, has congratulated the Tata Group for regaining management and control of Air India Airlines and lauded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for its asset monetization programme.

The Tata group on Thursday regained control of Air IndiaAfter 69 years, the Mumbai-based conglomerate left its stake in the airline to the central government.

“Congratulations to the Tata Group on Air India’s return home!” The US-India Business Council in a tweet lauded the successful asset monetization program of the Indian government.

USIBC said it is looking forward to better connectivity and opportunities in the US-India Economic Corridor.

Mukesh Aghi, president of the US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum, said “a milestone moment for Tata companies”. “Congratulations to Chairman N Chandrasekaran and the entire Tata group,” he said.
