The Union Territory on Saturday reported 48 new COVID-19 cases out of 3,823 tests. No deaths were recorded in the 24 hours that ended at 10 am on Saturday.
According to the data released by the health department, 27 of the fresh cases reported in the union territory were from Puducherry region, 11 from Mahe, 9 from Karaikal and 1 from Yanam.
With 598 active cases till date, 1,27,344 cases and 1,24,897 have been cured in the UT. 1,849 people died.
