Uttarakhand Result 2022: Harish Rawat of Congress lost from Lalkuva seat

Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Harish RawatThe leader of his party’s campaign in Uttarakhand lost the election from Lalkuva seat on Thursday, according to trends on the Election Commission’s website.

The Congress is trailing with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has already crossed the majority mark of 45 seats in the 70-seat Uttarakhand Assembly.

Taking to social media, Rawat admitted that he has lost and there is only a formal announcement left by the election body.

He also took responsibility for the performance of the Congress in the state assembly elections.

“Our efforts to win over the people of Uttarakhand were little. We were sure that people would vote for change, there must have been some lack in our efforts. I accept it and take responsibility for the defeat.” ANI,

“Our campaign strategy was inadequate and I accept it as the chairman of the complaints committee. The guys did a great job and I want to thank them. I could not win the trust of the people but I want to congratulate my daughter and all the candidates who won.”

Further, he said that he is shocked by the assembly election results and cannot understand people calling him ‘BJP Zindabad’.

“For me, the results are very surprising. I don’t understand what is the definition of public welfare and social justice if it was the mandate of the people after such heavy inflation? I will not call people after this ‘BJP Zindabad’ can understand.”

His daughter Anupama Rawat has won from Haridwar Rural seat for the Congress.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami The Khatima seat is lost to Congress candidate Bhuvan Chandra Kapri by over 7,000 votes.
