A Twitter user who goes by the name ‘Gabbar’ wrote on the Blue Bird app, “The last dish invented in India that has become mainstream. A product market fit as they call it.”

With this he listed some dishes. Starting with Vada Pav, which was created for cotton mill workers in Mumbai in the 1960s. “A quick breakfast, lots of carbs, pao saves you from getting your fingers greased,” he wrote. In the 10th century, have we forgotten the art of creating blockbuster food items? I only see a mix of dishes.”

Pav Bhaji – made for foodie, well-stocked merchants around Dalal Street Goodbud – made by Udupi restaurant Kathi Rolls Gaya Sunday – food in a wrap. Don’t know when and where it was made? Kolkata?” wrote a Twitter user. Another person mentioned, “Rava idli was invented by the legendary MTR restaurant as a substitute for rice idli as there was a rice shortage in India due to World War II.”

“Chicken 65, invented in 1965 at Hotel Buhari, Chennai,” noted another user.
