Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hosted a dinner for a group of members at the Vice President’s residence here on Tuesday. This is the fourth time he has hosted such a banquet after assuming office on August 11.

Sources said Union Minister L.K. Murugan, Praful Patel of the Nationalist Congress Party, Rajeev Shukla of the Congress and Sushil Modi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were present at the dinner. Dhankhar is likely to host two more dinners before the Parliament session.
The Parliament session will begin on December 7 and continue till December 29. This will be the first session for Dhankhar as the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Officials said Dhankhar is seeking members’ suggestions on ways to improve functioning and reduce disruption in House proceedings.
