video | Aiming at Moon: Chandrayaan-3 takes off from Andhra Pradesh

ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh today and it was a text book takeoff. The lander will now take around 42 days to complete its journey to the Moon where it aims to soft-land on the Moon’s south pole. If the mission is successful, India will join an elite list of three other countries that have been successful in soft landing on the Moon – the United States, the erstwhile Soviet Union and most recently, China.
