Video: Alligator at Australia Zoo accuses Robert Irwin

Robert Irwin had a close encounter with an aggressive crocodile.

Robert Irwin, 18, son of the late celebrity “alligator hunter” Steve Irwin, is a real-life adventurer who recently faced a life-or-death situation when he chased an alligator. While testing the behavior of a crocodile kept at the Zoo in Australia in Queensland, Robert Irwin had to run for his life and seek the help of his team to save himself from the crocodile.

The creature in question is a rare crocodile named Casper. When Robert Irwin tries to check whether Casper is comfortable in his new enclosure, the reptile follows him. Ignoring the food served to him, the alligator whispers at Robert Irwin, smashing his fangs behind him.

The footage of the incident was shared by Robert Irwin on Instagram. The teen was forced to shout “bail, bail, bail” to his team to defend himself. The blood-soaked clip is from the season finale of US TV “Cricky! It’s the Irwins”.

Sharing the footage, Robert Irwin wrote, “We prioritize natural behavior with our alligators. By going into their enclosures with them, and letting them make those big attacks from the water’s edge, they take all their predatory instincts.” And they just love it. Might as well educate us all about their protection. But safety is also important to us and you definitely need to know when to call it. And Casper Like with a powerful and quick croc, we had no choice but to bail.”

According to daily mail ukCasper is a leucistic saltwater crocodile because he suffers from dramatically lighter skin pigmentation than other crocodiles. The Australian Zoo states that because of this condition, Casper “must have been hunted in the wild at a young age.” However, Casper is one of the most aggressive crocodiles the zoo has ever seen.

Robert Irwin’s father, Steve Irwin, died while shooting a documentary in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef in 2006.
