A woman narrowly escaped being run over by a car in an incident of chain snatching in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore on Monday. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera.
In a video shared by news agency ANI, which is now viral on social media, the woman, identified as 33-year-old Kaushalya, was seen walking on a road when a white car approached her from behind. A man sitting in the front passenger seat reached out and grabbed her chain.

Kaushalya reacting immediately grabbed the chain tightly. Though the car dragged him for a few feet, he refused to let go of the chain. The person in the car eventually gave up and fled.
The Coimbatore City Police launched an investigation and arrested two people – Abhishek and Sakthivel – in connection with the incident.
