In what is being seen as a possible move by the Congress to join hands with actor Kamal Haasan’s MNM in Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, EVKS Elangovan, the Congress candidate for the Erode East constituency bypoll, today sought the actor-politician’s support. Kamal Haasan had recently attended Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, fueling speculation of a political alliance between the two. Kamal Haasan, however, says that he will take a decision after consulting his party’s leadership.
