After the Center set a 24-hour deadline for procurement of food grains from Telangana farmers, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today insulted the central government and accused the BJP of weakening the agriculture sector. He said that this is a conspiracy to hand over the agriculture sector to the corporates and farmers to the labourers. Mr Rao had a fresh face-off with the Center and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a dispute related to the purchase of rice from farmers in his state.
