Light to moderate rain caused by Cyclone ‘Sitang’ affected normal life in several northeastern states and dampened the Diwali celebrations in the region on Tuesday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday evening that the cyclonic storm “Sitang” over the Bay of Bengal is likely to cross the Bangladesh coast between Tinkona Island and sandwiched close to Barisal in the early hours of Tuesday.
