An 18-year-old Dalit student at IIT Bombay, who allegedly died by suicide, had spoken to his sister and aunt about being ostracized by their friends because of their caste, the family has told NDTV. While IIT Bombay officials have maintained that there was no discrimination on campus, Darshan Solanki’s family claimed that he faced harassment.
