A scuffle broke out between two groups of devotees at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain earlier this week, the video of which has gone viral on social media.
Police said a heated argument broke out between the devotees over seating in the e-rickshaw and they started hitting each other.
The viral video shows them punching and kicking each other as onlookers look on in horror. Some people are also seen intervening in the fight.
A senior police officer told NDTV, “A video of the fight between the devotees is being circulated on social media and the matter is being investigated. However, none of them has filed a complaint.”
He said that the police will also increase the security in the temple premises.
