Britain finally has a new prime minister. Liz Truss will replace Boris Johnson. After weeks of tight election, he defeated Rishi Sunak in the vote of the Conservative Party. Rishi Sunak was the most favored of Tory Party MPs to become prime minister, but it is one of the broader Conservative Party members that he lost. Most of the more than 170,000 Tory members who vote are older, white people. So, was race the primary factor that went against the craze? Or was there more to it?
