In Andhra Pradesh, a video of militant YSR Congress workers attacking the central party office of the opposition Telugu Desam Party in Mangalagiri, throwing stones at glass and breaking furniture has gone viral.
Videos and pictures of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) spokesperson Pattabhi Ram’s house have also been shared widely on social media, which was vandalized by YSRCP party workers.

The violence was reportedly triggered by comments made by Pattabhi Ram, who was accused of repeatedly using unparliamentary language for Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at a press conference, which was broadcast live.
“Telugu Desam Party strongly condemns the attack by YSRCP goons on the party headquarters and office and residences of party leaders in Visakhapatnam. We do not understand that we are living in a democratic country or a fascist country. Chief Minister and DGP ( Responsibility should be taken for these attacks),” Andhra Pradesh TDP president Atchannaidu said.
He demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister for his failure to keep law and order under control.
