“We have been raising these questions since November 2021 when the first crack appeared. But we have been fighting against the project since 2003. The NTPC project passing just below Joshimath is the primary cause of this disaster,” said Attu Sati, convenor of the group Joshimath Bachao Sangharsh Samiti’ when asked who was to be blamed for the disaster in Joshimath.
