video | Russia-Ukraine war grave threat to world peace: Norwegian Nobel committee leader

Asle Toje, deputy leader of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, told NDTV that the risk of nuclear weapon use in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war is high and efforts should be intensified to end the war as soon as possible. Terming it as the biggest threat to world peace after the Cuban Missile Crisis, Asle Toje said India can play an important role in the global effort to end the war. Political leaders, scholars and former diplomats argued that peace and development are inextricably linked at a roundtable held at the India International Center in Delhi today. India Center Foundation President Vibhav K Upadhyay said that India needs an alternative model of development to deal with challenges like poverty and hunger.
