Video shows paraglider flying with vulture, netizens call it ‘best thing ever’

Experience the world with a bird’s eye view is an unforgettable experience. But experiencing it with a bird is another matter. Touted as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a paraglider flying over the lush green landscape was first greeted, and then joined by a black vulture.

The video of this amazing experience recently surfaced on social media and created panic. In the clip, the paraglider is seen flying just above the bird. The vulture, with its wings crossed and its tail steered, comes over the glider and then settles down on one of its legs. The bird pecks the other shoe in search of food, while the glider gently pats the bird.

Since being shared, the video has garnered over 1.5 crore views and nearly 6.5 lakh likes. The viral clip left netizens in awe of the rare sight. One user wrote, ‘One of the most wonderful things ever. Bird’s eye view of this big man’s wings and then descend to take a ride and chill for a minute.

Another wrote, “What a wonderful meeting.”

Claiming to quit his job, this user said, ‘From now on, this is what I will do.

The “Ultimate Peak Experience” someone called it.

While another called it “magical”.

An eagle-eyed user noticed that the vultures in the video are wearing jays, small straps used to tie up birds. “I’m guessing the paraglider takes care of the bird,” wrote the user.

Another user shared that it is a specific activity called parahawking which is a combination of paragliding and falconry. The birds are trained to fly with paragliders and perch in the middle of the air. And it turns out, it’s true.
