The prosecution told a court on Tuesday that the contractors who repaired the ill-fated suspension bridge in Gujarat’s Morbi were not qualified to do such work.
On Sunday evening, 135 people were killed when the bridge collapsed. Prosecutors, citing a forensic report, said that while the bridge floor was replaced, its cable was not replaced and it could not take the weight of the replaced floor.
