Vijayapura-Mangaluru Junction Express to resume services from November 1

South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to resume the services of Vijayapura-Mangaluru Junction-Vijaypura Express Daily Special from 1st November.

However, the services will follow the earlier times irrespective of the demand to change it.

Patron and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel had urged the Railways to ensure that the train reaches Mangaluru by 9 am instead of 12.40 pm and leaves at 5.30 pm instead of 4.30 pm.

He said the arrival and departure timings at Mangaluru Junction were inconvenient.

Its arrival in the afternoon was not conducive to passengers traveling for official work or such other purposes. Similarly, if the train leaves after 5 pm, it helps the passengers to complete the day’s work and then board the train, the patron had said.

However, the Southern Railway which manages Mangaluru Junction informed the SWR that it cannot accommodate the train at the desired time as the platform remains occupied at that time.

With pressure mounting to resume services connecting North Karnataka and the coastal region, SWR had to operate the train on the old schedule.

Accordingly, train 07327 departs Vijayapura at 6 pm and will depart from Bagalkot (departure at 7.46 pm), Gadag (10.30 pm), Hubli (11.45 pm), Karjagi (1.20 pm), Sakleshpur (7.30 pm) from 1st November at 12.40 pm. via Mangaluru Junction. , Subrahmanya Road (10.25 am), Kabaka Puttur (11.12 am), and Bantwal (11.42 am) will reach Mangaluru Junction at 12.40 am the next day.

In the return direction, train 07328 will leave Mangaluru Junction from November 2 at 4.30 pm, Bantwal (5.07 hrs), Kabaka Puttur (5.35 hrs), Subrahmanya Road (6.30 hrs), Sakleshpur (9 hrs), Karjagi (3.18 hrs), Hubli departs. (5.15 am), Gadag (6.55 am), and Bagalkot (9 am) will reach Vijayapura at 11.45 am the next day.
