Michelin star celebrity chef Vikas Khanna has been ranked among the world’s top 10 global chefs gazette reviewHas become the only Indian chef to have made it to the coveted list. gazette review Mr Khanna is in sixth place, with British chef Gordon Ramsay leading the list.

Born in Amritsar and living in New York, Khanna, 50, is known around the world for taking Indian cuisine and food on the world’s food map. He is the only Indian-origin chef who has made it to the list with great names in the industry.

Mr Khanna, who also wears other hats including being a writer, filmmaker and philanthropist, took to social media on Tuesday and shared his happiness on being listed.

“Humble to be the ‘Top 10 Chef in the World’ in 2022 – Best in 2022 by Gazette Review. Humble to be in the company of some of my mentors,” he wrote on Instagram.

Others on the list include Anthony Bourdain, Paul Bocuse, Alain Ducasse, Emeril Lagasse, Marco Pierre White, Heston Blumenthal, Wolfgang Puck and Jamie Oliver.

Mr. Khanna is one of the first Indian chefs to achieve international fame. Since 2011, their main restaurant, Junoon in New York City, has received a Michelin star, a hallmark of fine dining.

Mr Khanna has served food to former US President Barack Obama, Dalai Lama, Pope Francis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other world leaders and celebrities.

Mr. Khanna is known for creating the world’s most expensive cookbook. From 2011, Khanna hosted five seasons of MasterChef India, a series based on the original British version.
