A “entertainment” program organized as part of a local village temple festival in Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district has been criticized by the public.
Because, the onstage event proved to be a tasteless display of provocative poses by women in the background of live music, who were whistled and cheered by a section of the audience in the front row.
The incident happened on Tuesday night in Tolasikombari village. A video of the event has gone viral on social media and a leader is seen on the stage addressing the gathering. There is also a banner in the background which prominently displays the images of local political leaders. However, the dance show started much later and it is not clear whether any leader was present in the show or had a direct role in organizing it.
