A groom from Kerala dressed up as Minnal Murali for his wedding
A groom from Kerala is making a lot of headlines on social media for his unique wedding outfit. Amal Ravindran dressed up as Minnal Murali for his wedding, a Native Superhero from a Malayalam film of the same name. Shows pictures that have gone viral onlineThe bridegroom in a Minal Murli inspired dress and the bride in a green sari. Mr. Raveendran’s red and blue outfit was inspired by Tovino Thomas’ character from the film.
talking to Indian ExpressThe 29-year-old revealed that his relatives were supportive of the idea of him dressing up as a superhero.
“After the shoot, my relatives were excited to see me in costume. My cousins had planned to wear superhero outfits on the wedding day. However, due to COVID and related restrictions, they could not attend the wedding. Many people are curious. Were married after watching the ‘Save Date’ video,” he said.
Mr. Raveendran was referring to his Save the Date video which had earlier gone viral online. For that video too, he had disguised as Minnal Murali.
Meanwhile, bride Anju KH said that while she was reluctant about the ‘Save Date’ video, the positive response she received put her doubts to rest.
“I was a bit reluctant during the Save Date video shoot. However, it turned out well and we got a positive response from friends and family. I was very excited during the post-wedding shoot. Some of my friends even called me ‘Minal’ ’,” Anju told The Indian Express.
Compliments and congratulatory messages have poured in for the Kerala couple, with some even asking Tovino Thomas to focus on the wedding photoshoot.
Minnal Murali It was released on Netflix last month. The film follows the story of a tailor (played by Tovino Thomas), who gains super powers after being struck by lightning.
