Viral Video: Food blogger tries Kashmiri Faluda at Dal Lake, tells how it is made

He visited Dal Lake in Kashmir and relished a special Kashmiri Falooda dessert from a local street food vendor. He shared the video of the experience on his Instagram handle ‘foodpandits’.

The name of the stall is ‘Kashmiri Faluda’ and it is situated next to Dal Lake. The seller shared that Kashmiri falooda is very popular in this area and he is running falooda stall since 15-20 years. Have you ever seen Kashmiri Falooda? Here’s your chance.

The vendor first pours two scoops of ice cream into a plastic glass, then adds vermicelli (also known as lachha and vermicelli) and again two scoops of falooda flavored ice cream. On top of it they have poured condensed milk, rose syrup, dry fruits, chocolate syrup and some colorful sprinklers.
The video went viral with 2.5 million views and nearly 170 thousand likes. But it received mixed response from the audience. Some of them were very happy to see this falooda. Leftist comments like:

But some viewers didn’t like the idea of ​​the dessert and some even found fault with its preparation:

A user recently mocked the trend of street food vendors making fusion dishes and commented: “You forgot 2 items 1. Cheese 2. Mayonnaise.” (You forgot two items – cheese and mayonnaise.)
