This is a big moment for former captain Virat Kohli. As he left to play against Sri Lanka in Mohali, he achieved an important record – the 100th Test match of his career. With this, he joins an elite club of cricketers. To mark the occasion, Kohli was felicitated by Team India head coach Rahul Dravid ahead of the match. It is one of the biggest achievements of his career and to celebrate this historic day, it was fitting that his wife, actor and producer Anushka Sharma joined him in the ceremony. Anushka along with her teammates can be seen cheering for Virat as the cricketer is awarded a special cap. So far, 71 players have reportedly played 100 or more Test matches and Kohli is the only 12th Indian to achieve the feat. Sharing her pictures in white on social media too, she wrote in the caption, “So grateful for the journey so far. A big day and a special Test match. Can’t wait to get this started.” Kohli made his Test debut in 2011 against the West Indies. He stepped down as India’s Test captain in January after 7 years in charge. Photos of the felicitation ceremony with fans celebrating Kohli’s new milestone have surfaced online.
