Virtually Inauguration of Xavier’s Online Learning (XOL) Programs by XLRI Jamshedpur today

Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur Inaugurated today three Master’s level programs in online mode in line with the framework of National Education Policy 2020. Programs in Post Graduate Diploma in . Are included Business Management (PGDBM), Post Graduate Diploma in Finance (PGDF), and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM).

Overall, around 8000+ applications were received for XLRI Online Learning Program out of which 3000+ applications were shortlisted and only 110 students got their seats in the programme. Each program will commence within a week of the immersion program at XLRI Campus, Jamshedpur followed by another week of campus visits in the second year.

The virtual opening ceremony saw the active participation of 110 students from the first batch of XOL programs – PGDBM with 60 students, PGDHRM with 26 students and PGDF with 22 students.

The program began with a prayer song by XLRI staff members followed by a short prayer and virtual lighting of a candle by Fr. Donald de Silva SJ, Dean – Administration and Finance. The event was attended by Father Paul Fernandes SJ, Director, XLRI, Father Donald de Silva SJ, Dean – Administration and Finance, Professor AK Pani, Dean – Academics, Prof. Sanjay Patro, Chairman of XOL Programs, and all other staff and faculty members . of XLRI.

The crowd was then addressed by the Director of XLRI, Father Paul. He welcomed the students and said, “Congratulations for taking a new step and joining XLRI learning programs. With advanced technology and access to online platforms, we can reach out to each other, and share ideas with our community. Together we can help each other grow in a good spirit and at XLRI we will help you in every step of your journey. We will make you a thinker, contributor, change agent and world class But we will nurture you to grow into responsible leaders. We look forward to a value-based change and a great learning experience.”

Prof. Sanjay Patro, President, XLRI-XOL Programs, addressed the students and said, “The objective of the Online Postgraduate Diploma programs is to bridge the gap between the aspirations of the participants and the requirements of qualified professionals; industry-appropriate.
