Visakhapatnam: Andhra University High School team wins STEM Young Achiever Award in Pune

Students of Andhra University English Medium High School, Visakhapatnam showcased their talent in the FTC Robotics STEM Technology Tournament held in Pune from March 10 to 12. The team won the STEM Young Achiever Award.

A total of 60 national and 11 international teams participated in this tournament. It is the only team from Andhra Pradesh (new team) which competes for the first time with teams from other state and international teams. Andhra Achievers team secured 28th position out of 71 teams.

The students of AU High School team were given online training by Sameer Sheikh and Dr. Shireen Rahman and Santosh, sons of former MLA Dr. SA Rahman. Both the youngsters not only trained the students but also provided all the resources required for their training in robotics.

Dr. Shireen Rahman, who is also the president of Chaitanya Shravanti, an NGO, appreciated the achievements of the students.
