Visakhapatnam: IG suspends officer overnight after series of house breaking in Tummapala

Inspector General of Police, Visakha Range, LKV Ranga Rao on Sunday suspended an assistant sub-inspector, who was a night duty officer in Tummapala area under Anakapalle (Town) police station limits, after a series of house-ravages. after. early Friday morning

The DIG warned that if any police officer is found negligent in his duties, action will be taken against him. He also said that special teams have been deployed to probe the matter and assured the victims that the accused would be arrested at the earliest.

A group of unidentified miscreants have allegedly stolen ₹ 1.30 lakh from two houses and panchayat office in Tummapala. They also allegedly attempted to rob five more houses. Superintendent of Police B Krishna Rao visited the spot and gave suggestions to the officials.

Mr. Ranga Rao said that the police is collecting the details of former criminals and persons released from jails recently from around the district. The DIG asked the police personnel to check the history of suspicious persons using Finger Print Identification System and Mobile Security Check Device while performing their duty during day or night.

He has also sought cooperation from the local people of Anakapalle to inform the police if any person is moving suspiciously. He said patrolling has been intensified at sensitive places like dhabas, hotels, liquor shops, highways, railway stations and bus stations.
