Vivo X80 series to launch in China on April 25, design revealed in teaser video – Times of India

Vivo has announced that it will launch Vivo X80 Series in China on April 25. The company revealed the launch of its smartphone lineup in a post on Weibo. Vivo also shared a short teaser video that explains what users can expect from the Vivo X80 series. It is rumored that the series will include three smartphones – Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro And Vivo X80 Pro+. While it is not yet clear which device is shown in the teaser video, reports suggest that it will be topped by Vivo X80 Pro+.
The smartphone seen in the Vivo X80 teaser video gets a massive camera module and rear design which is similar to the newly launched foldable smartphone Vivo X Note. The camera module mounts a quad-lens setup with LED flash. The smartphone sports orange color and also gets the Carl Zeiss logo. On the front, there is a centrally aligned punch hole camera in the display for selfies and video calls.
If previous reports are to be believed, the quad-lens setup in Vivo X80 Pro+ could include 50MP GN1 primary sensor, 48MP Sony IMX598-based ultra-wide sensor, 12MP portrait sensor, and 8MP periscope sensor. The Vivo X80 series is also expected to come with the Vivo V1+ professional imaging chip. The series will replace the Vivo X70 series in India, which was also camera-focused and featured Carl Zeiss technology.
It is reported that the Vivo X80 series smartphones will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. As of now, the company hasn’t revealed any details about the India availability of the upcoming series, but expect the smartphones to hit Indian shores soon.
