Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has launched polo and the Vento Matte variant in the country. The matte variant is available in the GT variant of the Polo, with prices starting at Rs.9.99 lakhs. On the other hand, the Vento Matte variant is priced from ₹ 11.94 Lakh for the Highline AT variant, going up to ₹ 13.34 Lakh for the Highline Plus AT variant (all prices, ex-showroom India). With the introduction of the matte variant, the automaker has expanded its Polo and Vento range, making it more accessible to buyers.

The new special edition model gets cosmetic updates on the outside, while the cabin remains untouched. Upgrades to the models include carbon steel gray matte finish on the roof, fuel flaps, front and rear bumpers. However, the ORVMs and door handles come with a premium looking black glossy finish. polo and Vento The Matte editions are available from today across all dealerships as well as the Volkswagen online retail platform. Models also come with Volkswagen’s standard 4EVER Care Package, which includes 4-year standard warranty, 4-year roadside assistance (RSA) and 3-free services as standard.

Both the models are powered by the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder, turbocharged TSI engine. Turbocharged Stratified Injection (TSI) technology brings additional power on both the models, making the drive even more attractive. The unit is tuned to produce 108 bhp at 5000-5500 rpm and 175 Nm of peak torque at 1750-4000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
