If you grew up in Delhi or have lived here for a long time, there is no need to introduce you to the food here. While the streets are full of chaat dumplings, gol gappas and more, we also have some great heritage restaurants. Many of us have been visiting such prestigious places since time immemorial. You must have also heard the stories of your parents going there in their childhood. While there are many such eateries, one of the places that has made a significant mark on Delhiites is the famous Gulati restaurant. Located in the heart of Delhi, Gulati Restaurant is running since 1959. It brings to you some of the most famous and coveted North Indian and Mughlai cuisines! Recently, we visited the place to taste the food there, and now I can tell you why generation after generation is going there!

As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with a brightly lit atmosphere, soft music and courteous staff. The central part of the restaurant is packed with swing Like the seats that create a picture-perfect image. Whenever you want to visit the restaurant, make sure you arrive early or pre-book your seats as there is a huge queue of people waiting outside!
Speaking of food, I tasted their famous buffet and some snacks! The buffet, which usually starts at noon and goes on till 4 pm, has a wide variety of dishes (both veg and non-veg) that will leave you basically satisfied!
Firstly, I started my meal by serving Veg Gulati Kebabs. Take a bite into these delectable kebabs, and I am out of words to tell you how amazing it tasted! It was crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. The balance of spices felt just right. And when Lachha is served with onions and spicy chutney, it becomes even more delicious!
Back then, starting with the buffet, I had so many dish options that I was spoiled for choice! However, what really stood out for me and my friends was the rich flavor of dal makhani, the perfectly spiced pakora kadhi, and of course the famous butter chicken! Along with that, we highly recommend that you try the Veg Biryani! The smell of biryani is enough to attract you towards it. Plus, when you get a bite of it, you’ll definitely ask for more! Apart from these dishes, you will also find exclusive salads, paneer dishes, potato dishes and much more at the buffet.
Lastly, speaking of sweets, we recommend that you do not fill your stomach with main meals; Leave some room for delicious fruit cream! This fruity cream is honestly a heaven for every dessert lover. The flavors were rich and super delicious!
Overall, the experience and food at Gulati Restaurant was superb! This place is a must visit when you want to treat your family.
