This is very common in Gir.
At times they even get scared and run away when Human tries to defend.— Kuldeep Verma (@Anu_224) February 15, 2022
Many users praised the passengers and called them brave. Many people told that wild animals do not attack humans unless they are provoked. Some also expressed concern over the man-animal conflict in the state.
Brave man and women (pillion rider). It takes lot of guts to stand still like that, even though the lioness was in no mood to attack, it just want to move away.

Goes to prove that lionesses and other wildcats unlike humans never attack for the joy of it. Notice how calmly she sees them and then changes her path.

This is not the first time that a video of Gir has surfaced. In July last year, a video went viral in which a herd of lions could be seen roaming the streets in Gujarat. The video showed a group of five lions with two young cubs, in what appeared to be a family, taking to the road at night.
