We all love street food in India, but samosa holds a special place in our hearts. Snack filled with fried potatoes lightens up our mood every now and then. Our go-to chai-time dish, samosas are something no one can say (or, at least, doesn’t want to say no to). While potatoes are the obvious stuffing for samosas found everywhere in the country, many people also like to experiment with other ingredients like paneer and peas. However, one thing remains the same – a delicious crunch on the outside and a tangy, spicy filling on the inside. You must have seen and tasted many variations of samosas, but this one surprised us quite a bit. Masala Cashew Samosa – Do you know about this variant of Samosa?
YouTube channel ‘Food Fatafat’ introduces us to this all-new avatar of samosas that is rich in crunchy and creamy cashew nuts, with a spicy masala powder, It tastes great, imagine what it would taste like?! This samosa was discovered at Shagun Sweets in Ghaziabad and in the video the blogger shows the entire process of making it.

This is how Masala Cashew Samosa is being made in the video: Groundnut oil and water are put along with all purpose flour in a large automatic dough kneading machine. After kneading the dough lightly, it is taken out in a big vessel. Then cashews are fried in oil until golden brown, for about 15 minutes. With the help of a sieve, the cashew nuts are removed and the excess oil is removed. Then a special samosa masala made of spices like black pepper powder, dry chutney, salt and many other ingredients is added to the fried cashews. Next, the dough is divided into small portions and rolled out, and each is stuffed with cashew masala, and folded to make samosas. Finally, all these are deep fried to make crispy, spicy samosas.
