Despite a 35-run partnership for the first wicket between Harry Brook (18) and Sharma and a 36-run partnership for the second wicket between Sharma and Rahul Tripathi (21), the SRH batsmen faltered as the CSK spinners took the lead took.

There were no significant partnerships in the middle order as the Hyderabad batsmen failed to take the score forward as they struggled against the CSK spinners.

Jadeja was the key bowler for the Super Kings as he spun a web around the opposition batsmen.

Experienced Jadeja (3/22) and Mahesh Tikshana (1/27) strangled the SRH batting unit, with Dhoni bowling the spinners for over 7 to 15.

Such was the dominance of the spinners that after 10.3 overs, the SRH batsmen could not hit a boundary for the next 36 balls.

Brook hit Tushar Deshpande for two consecutive fours and Ruturaj Gaikwad was caught by Akash Singh.

Sharma, who hit Singh’s first six of the match in the third over, hit three fours and a six before becoming Jadeja’s first victim.

Left-handed batsman Ajinkya Rahane took a good catch in the deep as soon as Jadeja came into action.

Agarwal, who was dropped at No.6, didn’t last too long.

After surviving a chance to be caught and bowled by Jadeja, who could not hold on to the chance that came Klaasen’s way, Agarwal jumped out of the crease only to miss the ball as Dhoni did the rest behind the stumps.
