Watch: Digital India attracts foreign delegates at G20 Sherpa meet in Udaipur

The success of Digital India is not hidden. The world has praised India’s digital intervention many times and hundreds of foreign delegates who have come to India are all praising it with India taking over the presidency of G-20. The delegates are not only being accorded a traditional welcome but are also being treated to a taste of Indian cuisine. While India is presenting a strong pitch on working together through hope, harmony and healing, delegates are also amazed by the country’s technological prowess.

A video shared by the G20 India Twitter handle shows delegates scanning their access passes to enter the meeting venue. The G20 India handle said in a tweet that this helped delegates cut queues with the OR code.

The tweet read, “Digital transformation at #G20India, cutting queues with QR codes! Delegates at the ongoing 1st Sherpa meeting in Udaipur digitally scanning a QR code on their access passes to enter meeting venues Huh.”

As seen in the video, the names and photos of the delegates are displayed on the screen as they scan their Access Pass QR code. The delegates can be seen smiling and admiring the technology.

On the other hand, while opening the first meeting of G20 Sherpas in Udaipur, India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant highlighted India’s initiatives like Aadhaar, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Direct Benefit Transfers which have brought a vast population out of poverty line. Helped to rise.

Kant said the release notes on the 13 working groups have already been distributed among the participants. The notes address concerns such as rapid, inclusive and resilient development; Accelerating progress on the Sustainable Development Goals, especially on health and education, climate finance, technological change and digital public infrastructure.

The first session of discussion today focused on technological transformation in the digital economy, health and education, while the second was on India’s Lifestyle for Green Growth and Environment (LiFE) initiative. There will be three more sessions on Tuesday which will focus on rapid, inclusive and resilient growth, multilateralism and food, fuel and fertilisers, women-led development, tourism and culture. India formally assumed the chairmanship of the G20 on 1 December.
