A rat trapped under a car in Bhubaneswar was rescued. Car owner Chitta Ranjan Baral discovered the snake when he was about to set his car engine on fire. The snake was trapped in a narrow space under the car. A two-member team of Snake Helpline reached the spot and identified the snake as a non-venomous Indian rat snake. The car was raised with the help of a jack. Even after an hour’s effort, the snake could not be rescued. Eventually the snake was rescued and released into the forest.
