Tamarind Goli Recipe: How to Make Tamarind Candy at Home

These are candies made from tamarind. Tamarind may be sour, but due to the addition of sugar, the taste of candy is sweet. What are the ingredients needed to make Tamarind Tablet? These candies require few ingredients which are easily available. So you don’t have to worry about getting the right ingredients.

Here is the list of ingredients:

  • tamarind or tamarind
  • Sugar
  • chilli powder

How to make Tamarind Tablet?

Step 1: First soak tamarind in water.

Step 2: After soaking them, filter the excess water with tamarind.

Step 3: Remove the seeds and keep the tamarind pulp.

Step 4: Add sugar to the preheated pan.

Step 5: As soon as the sugar starts to caramelize, pour tamarind pulp over it.

Step 6: Mix the tamarind pulp with the caramelized sugar continuously.

Step 7: Add chili powder to this paste. It adds tartness to the candies.

Step 8: Mix the ingredients continuously until they form a sticky paste.

Step 9: Roll the paste into small balls.

Step 10: Cover these candy balls with powdered sugar.
