If sitting in a comfy chair and enjoying a donut after sipping it in your coffee sounds too mainstream, then you’re on your way to setting a crazy world record, too. Similar to Ron Jones, who set a new world record for dunking a donut by bungee jumping from a height of 60 meters.
Guinness World Records (GWR) shared the clip of the record being shot on their official Instagram handle. In the clip, various POV footage, including Ron’s, are mashed into one. Bound by a bungee jumping rope, Ron jumps off the edge and heads straight to the ground. There is a cup of coffee lying on the ground. As he reaches the ground, he extends his hand holding the donut, making a successful dip into the coffee cup.
Sharing the clip, GWR wrote in the caption, “Highest dunk of a donut (bungee jumping) 60.553 m (198 ft 8 in) by Ron Jones.”

In the comments section, GWR said the first attempt at such a record was made in 2013 in the US TV show Guinness World Records Unleashed. Since being shared, the video has garnered nearly 7 lakh views and over 61,000 likes. Netizens were stunned to see Ron trying and setting the record successfully.
“Imagine how confidently this guy sips his donuts normally,” wrote one user. “Finally, something impressive,” wrote another. One user said, ‘This is amazing. Among the admirers, there were some who were finding it difficult to dig the idea of the record. “Swear they’re making the most random things,” commented one user. Another asked, “How do people come up with these weird records?”
Although an impressive feat, a similar effort already won a record title in 2016 and still owns it. This is the highest bungee dunk record set by UK’s Simon Berry, who dipped a biscuit in a tea cup from a height of 73.41 m.
