Watch: Scuba diver rescues fish trapped in plastic packet underwater

A video of a scuba diver rescuing a fish trapped in an underwater plastic packet has surfaced on social media and is going viral. The clip was shared on Twitter by climate campaigner Mike Hudema. It depicts a small fish trapped inside a plastic bag in the sea and the kind-hearted driver rescuing it.

According to independentThe video was shot in the Indian Ocean around Sri Lanka. Marine conservation organisation, The Pearl Protectors, found the fish on a pile of rocks on the sea floor during Boxing Day, unable to move. After spotting the aquatic creature, the diver quickly tackled the fish with a plastic bag before it happily swam away.

Since being shared on Twitter, the video has collected over 44,000 views and over 1,600 likes. Commenting on the post, a user wrote, “Save the water. There are living creatures below!”
