To make this instant appam, start by adding drained poha, semolina, curd, salt and water. Mix it well and rest for a while. Check the batter after 5 minutes, in the meantime you can make delicious chutney of your choice. After the batter rises, grind it finely and make a paste. Add a little fruit salt, and more water if needed.

Heat the tawa and pour the batter, let it cook on low flame. You don’t need to flip the appam. Once the air bubbles on the appam are evenly cooked, the appam is done!
