Watch: Temple elephant blesses dancers in Karnataka

Industrialist Anand Mahindra never ceases to treat us to some fascinating content available on the internet. This time he has shared a video of an elephant from a temple in Karnataka.

In the clip uploaded by Mr Mahindra on Twitter, a performer, dressed in traditional attire, can be seen dancing as an elephant in the temple premises and his handler standing behind. As the dancer turns to the elephant and joins her hands to seek his blessings, the elephant gently places its trunk on her head. Later in the clip, the elephant repeats the move and is seen nodding its head as the dancer continues the performance.

According to the chairman of the Mahindra Group, the video is from Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple in Karnataka. “Shri Durga Parameshwari Temple, Kateel, Karnataka. awesome. And I think Temple Elephant is wishing all of us a Happy New Year,” he wrote.

The clip soon started garnering attention and received various reactions.

One user wrote, “Elephants look so cute that we feel like worshiping them.”

Another said, “The temple elephants are such lovely creatures…always blessing each person gently with their trunk”.

“Real Indian culture,” read a comment.

Some described the video as “amazing” and “cute”.

Earlier, Mr. Mahindra gave its “Monday Inspiration” Message By sharing a video of a boy catching an uncontrolled plane with his bare hands. The clip shows a plane descending at a significant speed and in an uncontrolled manner, as a man on a motorcycle is pointing towards it. It appears as though the plane will eventually crash. But instead, a boy standing on the roof of a school catches him in mid-air. “It fooled me till the very end. Moral? We tend to make our problems and fears bigger than they really are. Solutions are always within our grasp. Don’t make your week more worrying than it needs to be for me,” read the caption.
