Watch the Promising Trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

The trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is out and it is on schedule for release in 2023. Publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has unveiled a nearly one and a half minute long teaser trailer for the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a popular 2019 combat game from Respawn and Lucas Filmgames. It reunites us with Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan) who is still on the run from the Empire. He appears to be all alone, which is quite surprising given the fact that he spent a lot of time getting the support of the allies in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. While the trailer has an engaging look and feel, these scenes are not actually from the in-game footage.

The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor doesn’t reveal much about the plot, but it does have a lot star wars Imagery to excite hardcore fans of the brand. This further confirms that the game will be out sometime in 2023.

Douglas Reilly, vice president of Lucasfilm Games, said in a prepared statement: “We couldn’t be more excited to reveal this next chapter of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Cal Kestis’ journey with players around the world.”

Similarly, Monaghan said that Star Wars: Survivor will be more “complex and mature” than its predecessor.

“I love when stories grow with their characters and audience. I’m excited to present @lucasfilm @respawn @estarwars and I’ve been working on over the years. I’m proud to say that #JediSurvivor is a complex, mature and exciting progression to an audacious, ambitious game,” tweeted Monaghan.

When it debuted in 2019, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order received “generally favorable reviews” according to Metacritic, with users praising it for its combination of campaign mode with action RPG mechanics. So, will Star Wars Jedi: Survivor be able to take the franchise to new heights? We’ll find out next year with its release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
