In another similar incident last year, a 2-metre-long python was rescued from the fuel tank of a Thai farmer’s pickup truck. The farmer had reportedly parked his car and had gone to water his sugarcane fields and he returned, found a python near the engine of his car.

He closed the door of his truck and opened the bonnet, hoping that the snake would run away, but instead, the python went inside and soon disappeared. The farmer then called for rescue, a video of which is available on YouTube.

The video showed two police officers monitoring the situation on the spot as the rescue team engaged in its work, noticed the snake’s head inside the fuel tank. It took them at least an hour to get the python out of the car safely.
