WATCH: Weird video shows blogger trying to hack iron to make sandwiches; Will it work?

In today’s times, it’s almost impossible to scroll through the internet and not encounter a bizarre food combination or weird food hack that has gone viral. Many of these food combinations come as a revelation to foodies that are blown away by invention. Food hacks on the other hand are known to teach us an easy way to work in the kitchen and are happily welcomed by amateur chefs and beginners. However, not every hack or food combo we come across does what it promises. Many may seem completely unnecessary and too strange to be true. Most of us have seen material that makes us question its existence and we ask ‘Why?’

Well, as stupid as these hacks are, it gets some laughs from the audience. A food blogger tried one of these hacks and the video is so funny and relatable! Do you know of those hacks for heating/cooking food in unusual appliances? If not, this food blogger shows you what it is and tries it to see if it really works. Anjali Dhingra is a food blogger from Bengaluru and is known for her many quirky food combos and inventions which she posts on her page @sooosaute and her most recent video shows us if this food hack is any good. Anjali tries to make it by sandwiching between two chains. Yes, the exact same tool you use to iron your clothes! The sandwich didn’t turn out right and we can hear him say, “What was the purpose of this hack?”. Take a look at the video here:

If you thought the video was hilarious, wait until you read the funny comments left by viewers. From sympathy to relatability, this sandwich hack has garnered over 100 funny comments.

Most of the comments left by viewers pointed out how impractical the hack was.

“This is also a hack or what?”

“Bad bhi illegal thing ke ke ho aap” (What you have done is illegal)

“2 iron lene se acha to sandwich machine hi lehenga” (I would rather buy a sandwich machine for this hack than get two irons)

“If you do this in front of anyone, then even the shopkeeper will give you a free sandwich”

But wait, the hack is not completely useless as commented by many students and bachelors living in hostels and PGs without proper cooking equipment. In fact, many of these students confirmed the hack and even corrected bloggers about how to do it in the future.

“Hostel mein kaam hai ye sab hai. And one press se kaam hai” (This is useful in hostels, in fact, you can do it with just an iron)

“We do it with a foil paper and just an iron. Dorm life!”

“This is for hostel kids! Hostel life jo jeeta hai wahi samaj sakte hai. No induction no gas, tab iron hi work aati hai” (This is for hostel students. When you don’t have induction and gas , so iron is what helps us.)

“Once wrapped in foil paper, it will definitely work”
