Watch: Zerodha CEO Nitin Kamath’s son and mother perform at Carnatic Music Festival

Zerodha co-founder and CEO Nitin Kamath on Sunday shared an emotional video of his mother and son performing at the Carnatic Music Festival in Mysore on Twitter. Mr Kamath shared a video of the performance and wrote, “Ajji on Veena performing with grandson Kian on mridungam. Ajji ensures that Carnatic music continues in the family to the next generation.”

Since being shared, the video has garnered over 53,000 views and over 1300 likes on the microblogging platform.

Twitter users loved the scintillating performance and praised the family for giving the gift of music to a new generation. Users also appreciated the coordination between the artistes and appreciated the musical bond between grandmother and grandson.

Zerodha, founded in August 2010 by billionaire brothers Nitin Kamath and Nikhil Kamath, has grown to become India’s largest online stockbroking firm with over 9 million customers. The company says its “disruptive pricing model” has made it the largest stockbroker in the country in terms of active retail clients.

Meanwhile, Mr Kamath, who is quite active on social media in terms of imparting financial knowledge to the younger generation, is not known to share much about his family.

However, recently he shared a happy update about his Health of wife Seema Patil announcing that she was “cancer free”. Mrs Patil was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2021 and underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation as part of her treatment.
