Weekend Special: Make Homemade Egg Tawa Pulao Fit for the Weekend

Weekend calls for special meals! It is that time of the week when we want to take our taste buds on a joy ride. And, most importantly, we prefer not to rely on calories. Did we hear related? So if you are a weekend foodie then this recipe is for you. best part? This includes eggs. We are talking about Egg Tawa Pulao. The perfect combination of rice and eggs makes it even more delicious. You can pair this pulao dish with some roasted papads and a bowl of raita. Method? Chef Sanjeev Kapoor shared it on Instagram.

Component:

1) Eggs

2) Salt to taste

3) Oil – 2 tbsp

4) Butter – 2 tbsp

5) Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp

6) Red chili paste – 1 tbsp

7) Onion – 1 (finely chopped)

8) Tomato – 1 (finely chopped)

9) Red chili powder – 1 tbsp

10) Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp

11) Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tbsp

12) Pav Bhaji Masala – 1 tbsp

13) Capsicum – 1 – (finely chopped)

14) Boiled Eggs (4)

15) Cooked Basmati Rice – 3 cups

16) Coriander leaves

17) Lemon

Here is how to make Egg Tawa Pulao:

1) Take a bowl and beat about four eggs with a little salt in it.

2) Now heat some oil and butter in a separate pan. Add ginger and garlic paste and red chili paste. Fry for a couple of minutes.

3) Throw in the finely chopped onions and fry them till it becomes translucent. It’s time to put the chopped tomatoes in the pan. Keep mixing it till it becomes soft and pulpy. After this, you have to put all the mentioned spices one by one including red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pav bhaji masala and fry it for a minute.

4) You can add 1/4 cup of water and cook it for a minute or two more. Mix the beaten eggs. Also add finely chopped capsicum and cook for about a minute. Now, take four boiled eggs and cut them into pieces and put them in the preparation.

5) Now, you can add the cooked rice and mix everything well. Garnish the dish with some fresh coriander leaves and mix well. If you want, squeeze a little lime too. You can take more boiled eggs for garnishing and your egg tawa pulao is ready.
