How to Make Pan-Grilled Chicken with Barbecue Sauce:

For pan-fried grilled chicken, we need chicken breast, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, olive oil, black pepper powder and salt to taste.

For the barbecue sauce, you’ll need brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, red chili powder, salt, pepper powder and Sriracha sauce.

Now let’s take a look at how to make pan-grilled chicken and barbecue sauce:

  • First, marinate the chicken breast. Use turmeric powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder and ginger and garlic paste for marination. Add salt as per taste. Apply marinade over chicken.
  • The chef said that if you have time, you can marinate the chicken overnight. But make sure you keep it for at least half an hour before starting the cooking process. Let the chicken rest. Keep it aside.
  • Meanwhile, prepare barbecue sauce. For this take a pan and put some brown sugar in it. Add tomato ketchup, black pepper powder, salt to taste and add Worcestershire sauce, mustard paste, vinegar, cayenne pepper and Sriracha sauce. Mix well and your barbecue sauce is ready. While the sauce goes very well with pan-fried grilled chicken, you can use the same sauce recipe for many other dishes.
  • Take a cast iron griddle pan. Grill the marinated chicken breast over it. Just remember to pour enough oil over the entire surface of the chicken before grilling it.
  • After the chicken is cooked well, keep it in a plate. You can either pour barbecue sauce over it or choose to serve it in a bowl on the side. For garnishing, you can use some greens, including lettuce and other microgreens, along with some cherry tomatoes.
